From June 2012 Kyivstar introduces a new format of invoices, which are sent via e-mail, i.e. XML format. It’s a technical data intercharge format used between IT-systems. This format is intended for automated processing of data, contained in the invoices you receive. For your convenience we offer you to use the description of the XML structure that will help you to set up your software for processing the data in a new format.

Kyivstar is extending the duration of the «Vkontakte» promotional service for an indefinite period. Kyivstar and DJUICE prepaid rate plans subscribers can continue using the website of the VKontakte.ru social network at a special rate, for only 0.02 UAH/MB. Thus, subscribers can get more communication with their friends and acquaintances in the social network, spending on it much less.

At a regular meetingof the JSC Kyivstar Supervisory Board the changes were approved in the Company’s Board of Directors. Artem Nits was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Kyivstar by decision of the Board.

The closer the New Year holidays, the more urgent becomes the issue of gifts. Kyivstar suggests its customers to please themselves and their loved ones with the operator smart phones and modems as gifts and good humor from new games and New Year’s D-Jingles.

For the fourthyear in a row the Kompiuternoie Obozrenie (Computer Review) publication holds an All-Ukrainian Best CIO Competition for IT Directors. According to the results of the Best CIO 2011 the first place in the «Telecommunications» nomination was taken by Andrii Peshyi, Head of the Kyivstar Information Technology Department.

On December 20th all DJUICE, Kyivstar and Beeline subscribers, who use the «D-Jingle» service, can install world famous hits from the X Factor show instead of beeps. Among the customers, who install respective d-jingles in their phones or present them to other subscribers, 10 tickets for the gala concert of X Factor show will be raffled.

The integrated Kyivstar has made an «Extra Money» service available to Beeline-Ukraine customers. Now Beeline-Ukraine customers can order additional funds in the amount of 10.00 UAH to their mobile phone number to make, if necessary, an emergency call, if there is no sufficient amount of money on the mobile account.

During 2011 Kyivstar was carrying out the upgrading of the mobile communications network on the territory of Western Ukraine. During January-December the Company built 250 base stations in all eight oblasts of Western Ukraine, expanding the coverage and significantly increasing the network throuput capacity.

Every year the Kyivstar network experiences the greatest load during winter holidays, especially during the New Year’s Holiday and Christmas. In 2011 the operator has been actively developing its network by renewing the equipment, increasing the number of base stations, expanding coverage and increasing capacity. Kyivstar has also prepared the network for winter holidays of 2012.

Kyivstar gathered the best top managers in the country: this is evidenced by the Executive dream team 2011 project published by the Investgazeta. In the publication’s ranking two out of seven positions are taken by the Kyivstar representatives at the same time: Marketing Director Taras Parkhomenko and Director of Regulatory and Legal Support Andrii Osadchuk are winners in respective nominations. Also, Kyivstar’s President Ihor Lytovchenko and HR director Olena Kropivianska are included in respective nominations.

The cities of Krasnyi Luch of Luhansk Oblast and Teplodar of Odesa Oblast were connected to the Kyivstar broadband Internet network. Thus, the coverage of the «Home Internet» service is now including 133 cities of Ukraine.

Kyivstar has completed the first stage of the «Ukraine-transit» project, which consists in the construction of the «Southern» route for traffic exchange between Europe and the CIS. The Kyivstar optical fiber backbone line of a total length of over 20 thousand kilometers has a direct connection to terrestrial networks in Russia, Hungary, Belarus, Moldova, Slovakia, Poland and Romania. The total network traffic handling capacity of external channels is more than 180 GBps.

Kyivstar has completed a multimedia room at Special General Education Boarding School No. 15 for children and young people with locomotor system disorders and presented a series of career counseling video master classes made by the Company. The charity event took place within the framework of the Kyivstar complex charity initiative «For the people, for the country!» aimed at providing comprehensive development and guidance for young people with disorders of the locomotor system.

Kyivstar is continuing to connect schools in Ukraine to broadband Internet based on the FTTB technology (fiber to the building). In December 2011, 25 schools in Western Ukraine, where more than 20 thousand children are educated, were connected to the Internet. Previously the Company had provided 15 schools in this region with Internet services. Educational institutions get unlimited Internet access from Kyivstar at a speed of 10 Mbps. This initiative is being implemented under the Memorandum of Cooperation signedbetween the operator and the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Sports.

Kyivstar has improved the «Additional Number» service, which makes it possible to have two mobile numbers on one SIM card. From now on, apart from making calls, it is possible to send and receive SMS messages by means of the «Additional number.»
