Kyivstar corporate charity is implemented in the framework of the For People, for the Country Ukrainian nationwide program. For almost 10 years Kyivstar consistently helps those in sore need, especially the handicapped children and children deprived of parental care.
More than 10 000 handicapped children and orphans study and live in 65 boarding schools and orphanages the company cooperates with.
The Company creates better opportunities for their development and socialization, helps them integrate into social life, provides financial and technical aid, gives an opportunity of joyful communication and creates unforgettable holidays, like enchanting performances with the participation of employees, etc.
The company takes care of the elderly people as well; especially veterans and singles who are in urgent need of respect and care.
Kyivstar constantly supports 11 geriatric homes giving shelter to more than 3,500 elderly people.
Every year in commemoration of the veterans’ heroic deed the Company organizes the Victory Day concerts and provides free of charge communication throughout Ukraine and within the CIS states for the veterans to keep in touch with their friends and front-line comrades.
Due to the Company’s care more than 5,000 people with impaired hearing and speech in 24 cities of Ukraine can use SMS-call emergency services free of charge.
Supporting young people and promoting their professional development, Kyivstar provides scholarships for students of telecommunications engineering professions in 9 technical colleges of Ukraine.
