Since 2017, Kyivstar together with GoGlobal international organization has been supporting the GoCamp educational project.
GoCamp is the largest educational volunteer program in Eastern Europe. During the summer camps, volunteers from all over the world teach Ukrainian students foreign languages, help them overcome language barriers, communicate in a multicultural environment and learn to think critically and creatively.
As part of the project, Kyivstar initiated the development of Entrepreneurship & Innovation Development interactive training course. The company's experts acting as volunteers and mentors conduct training webinars for students and teachers from all over the country. Using the examples of successful business cases, children learn about such innovative areas of the IT industry as the Internet of Things. They also acquire time management skills and learn the principles of startup building. In practice students use their knowledge when creating video presentations of their new mobile application development projects.
The number of Kyivstar employees who become mentors of the GoCamp project increases every year so that students can gain new knowledge and skills in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.
GoCamp won the National Corporate Social Responsibility Award as the project helping to achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals ensuring equal and quality education for all. The project also has received a silver award in the nomination of the Best Social Projects according to the Telecom Awards 2018.
